Context
Nestlé, a worldwide food corporation, boasts over 2,000 internationally marketed brands and products. These brands typically maintain distinct identities, individual websites, and create valuable content, such as product-related recipes, for their user base.
Pain Points
Employees within Nestlé's various brands lack a centralized data source for recipes, restricting their potential for reuse. These recipes hold the potential for not only cross-brand utilization but also adaptation within the same brand for different international markets, including translation into other languages or the creation of gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and other variations.
Challenge & Goals
Design and create a content management platform (CMS) that allows more than 30 markets to control all multi-brand recipes within the Nestlé® universe and share them globally in a multilingual environment.
My role:
Ideate the user experience understanding that each market has different requirements. The platform was developed with a very friendly visual level, which helps the variety of personas to manage the content more easily.
Also check through the data analysis the scope and exchange of each Nestlé® recipe, ingredient or product.
How we got there
Based on a very complex information architecture, we have created a user-friendly interface that makes it easy for the user (NESTLÉ® employees) to create, search or categorized recipes and products.
We conducted various research activities before defining the product, which increased our efficiency and led to a more precise outcome, such as:
• User Personas
• Focus groups
• Interviews
• Heatmaps
• Benchmark
Product Release
We planned the product launch with a major digital marketing campaign and the collaboration of 5 international markets. It marked the culmination of extensive planning, design and development and the presentation and testing stage with the target audience began.
High-Fidelity Screens
I worked on create the High-fidelity screens and users flows guidance mockups to enable designers and stakeholders to visually assess and refine the product's look and feel, facilitating more accurate feedback and reducing the risk of costly revisions during development.
Design System
Creating a design system is essential for maintaining consistency and efficiency in the design process. It provides a unified set of guidelines, components, and principles that streamline the development of user interfaces, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience across all digital platforms.
What we achieve
That users can be more agile managing, creating and categorizing content that feeds the database for many web-sites within the group.
To speed up decision making for day-to-day tasks, achieving a considerable improvement in work and multi-level performance.
Convert content into a scalable hub.
Bringing together teams from different languages and markets.
